Akram Dost Baloch

This modest yet evocative gouache on paper by Gul brings together his unique, stylised characters and beloved themes in a poetic way. Gul, who has worked extensively across a range of media, successfully generates empathy for the common man and woman through mediums as different and diverse as wood and paper. In this piece, the muted, melancholy washes of colour and the scribbled backdrop hint at the voices, dreams, and aspirations of the masses.
